We manufacturer MDPE in both blue and black. Blue is for potable (drinking) water and black (pumping main) is primarily for non-potable water i.e. seawater, pumped foul & grey water etc.
MDPE Pipe is used for water service connections between the distribution mains to individual properties and for above ground services if the pipes are installed within protective ducts. It should not be used for the conveyance of gases, oil, petrol, diesel or compressed air. The system is suitable for use with cold water.
MDPE Pipes –are used as underground water and gas supply and distribution to the houses.
MDPE can be produced by chromium/silica catalysts, Ziegler-Natta catalysts or metallocene catalysts. MDPE has good shock and drop resistance properties. It also is less notch sensitive than HDPE. Stress cracking resistance is better than that of HDPE. MDPE is typically used in gas pipes and fittings, sacks, shrink film, packaging film, carrier bags, and screw closures
