Elastomeric Pipes IS15328
Elastomeric pipes as per IS 15328 are structured wall plastic piping systems used for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage. These pipes are manufactured from unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride (UPVC) and designed to withstand external loads while maintaining structural integrity and leak-proof jointing systems using elastomeric rubber rings.
Manufactured from high-quality unplasticized PVC (UPVC) material.
Leak-proof joints with elastomeric sealing rings (rubber ring type).
Designed for gravity-flow drainage and sewerage applications.
Smooth internal surface ensures low friction losses and high flow capacity.
Excellent resistance to corrosion and chemical attack.
Lightweight and easy to transport and install.
High ring stiffness for withstanding soil and traffic loads.

Classifications:-
Elastomeric pipes are classified based on their ring stiffness and application use. These pipes are categorized for different working conditions, depending on depth of installation and expected external loads.
By Ring Stiffness (SN Class)
SN 2: For shallow underground installations with low traffic or load.
SN 4: Suitable for standard drainage and sewer lines.
SN 8: Designed for deep underground installations and heavy loads (e.g., highways).
By Application
Type A: Non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage lines.
Type B: For locations requiring enhanced strength or deeper installation depths.
